The Scottish Thistle Collection, from our Scottish Jewels Range. Designed around the Scottish Thistle and crafted from many different metals. The Scottish Thistle collection is very popular and sought after. This tough prickly  flower that grows wild in all parts of Scotland is referred to as the flower of Scotland. Perhaps the most enduring symbol and was the National Emblem of Scotland since the reign of Alexander III in 1249-1286.

The Legend of the Traditional Scottish Thistle.

At the battle of Largs in 1263AD an ambush by invading Norsemen crept upon the sleeping Scots warriors went but went horribly wrong. The raiders stood on these prickly flowers resulting in screams. Awaking the Scottish warriors from their slumber they then managed to defeated the Norseman. The flower became a symbol that everyone could identify with. It is a reminder that their country may not be the most rich or fertile but equally it was not to be grasped lightly.
