Celtic Rings

The crafting of Celtic Rings embellished to create a form of jewellery has a long history in Scotland. It is estimated that Celtic jewellery dates back to at least 300BCE. The Celtic and Pictish style are very similar and both have influence in Scottish Ring making today.

In the Middle Ages rings were worn as a sign of  high class. They would have been made of gold and silver. The Lower-class tended to wear more simple items that were primarily functional. These would have been made of simple materials such as copper or pewter.

Celtic Rings of today are more accessible and affordable. There are many different materials readily available today. But more importantly the designs are still made using the original designs.
